Would You Fly Around Australia To Show Others Living With Autism That The Sky’s The Limit?

One Australian man didn't always feel like the world was built for him. But from thousands of feet above, life makes perfect sense. He says that it’s a disconnect from the world, and an escape from everyday life. "Being on the autistic spectrum”, life is a little bit difficult, so it's a way for him to be himself without anyone trying to tell him who he is. He says there's something about being up there that gives you a different perspective. You don't "hear all the bad stuff in the world". What do you think LiveTribers? Would you fly around Australia to show others living with autism that the sky’s the limit?

if it would help others to understand autism why not? Flying can be great.

At the moment, I'm not prepared to fly anywhere. I'm staying put, where it's safer.

I work in mental health and can you this would make no difference to kids with autism and in some aspects would make it worse

Unfortunately I couldn't do anything like that as I don't like flying. I'd try and help in some other way.

If it is for free and I can fly 'first class', nothing wrong with getting on the beers and having a good mile high time.

Yes, why not. Everybody can have a great life. It doesn't matter if they have a disability or not. Everybody should do what makes them happy.

Autism is a spectrum so it is different for everyone, but hey should be free to express themselves in the way they feel comfortable too. In fact we all should be able to.

This is not a logical question. Flying anywhere, and looking at the world from above is enjoyable and amazing, but I don't see how my doing it would help anyone.

Autism is variant. My older brother has autism, he can’t work, shower or eat on his own. Then there’s my sons aikido instructor who also has it, but very mild. I wouldn’t have even known if I wasn’t told.

I don't think that this is necessary and it certainly won't change anything for those with autism.

Temple grandin said that people that are on the spectrum are not very good at things in general except for only 1 thing that they actually excell in greatley. I suppose that they can be limited but have to work much harder to achieve things. People with aspergers on the other hand are more highly functioning that spectrum.

I think you can get the same experience by snorkeling or diving. It’s cleaner and you get to see a whole different world below the surface of the water.

the sky is the limit with autism you can do what every one else does of course there is a limit but it should not stop u from doing what u want if being thousands of feet above the sky is the way forward for you then do it not hearing all the bad news thats going on thats even better of course it will not always be that easy but thats okay take your time there is no rush

if gives them a different outlook on life shows them what is possible when they have austism life should be as normal as possible having autism should not stop them from doing what they want of course it wouldnt be that easy all the time but u work around it

No! Autism specrum disorder diagnoses have exploded under the NDIS......the levels of supposed disability is often feloniously overexaggerated to ensure marginal sufferers receive taxpayer funded largesse!
