Is The Baked Beans Pizza Genius Or Gross?


Dominos has created a monster (oops) we mean a mashup no one saw coming – a baked beans pizza! Yes, you read that right. The pizza chain shared its latest creation on social media, which consists of a standard pizza base with toppings of Heinz baked beans, cheese, Dominos pepperoni, and thinly sliced ham. It’s unclear whether Dominos plans to add the baked beans pizza to its menu, but it’s possible considering it did launch the Vegemite pizza last year and other weird and wonderful combinations in previous years. What do you think LiveTribers? Is the baked beans pizza genius or gross?

    Yuk that is nothing to do with pizzas. People are going crazy with stupid toppings and cheese filled crusts. Just keep pizzazz real people. Thin crust or normal.

    Flavour-wise, this seems okay, but texture-wise it does not make sense to me. Toppings should be ones that can go a a bit crispy. Beans would surely be too soggy I would guess. But perhaps a nicer vego option than fake meat.

    Nah, not my type of thing. Having to eat a lot of baked beans as a kid, i don't go anywhere near them these days. I don't think the pizza would taste that nice, certainly not gourmet.

    Nothing so irresistible as an idea whose time has come. Make sure the beans are the Ham-flavoured ones, toss in some sliced jalapenos, some sliced onion and a few anchovies.... I'd pick one of these up with my regular evening order and keep it in the fridge/camping fridge overnight ready for breakfast the following day; it would be wicked when travelling!

    I'm not aware of any pizzas from Dominos that aren't gross. While they supply cheap pizzas that are filling I value my health too much to actually eat any of them. It seems more like a race to the bottom with Dominos trying to be controversial to drum up business.

    Well.... Given that next to deep fried Mars Bars, takeaway pizza is deemed by Choice magazine as the unhealthiest fast food, at least now with the supposed fibre in beans a sugar filled salt filled and fat filled pizza might be a smigeon healthy !!!
