Is South Australia’s Last Dine-In Pizza Hut Restaurant Permanent Closure The End Of An Era?

South Australia’s last-standing Pizza Hut Buffet is closing its doors end of June. Pizza Hut Marion in Adelaide’s south broke the news to customers with loyal fans expressing their shock at the news while others shared fond memories. After over four decades of trading, South Australia’s last dine-in Pizza Hut will shut its doors as locals describe the loss as the ‘end of an era’. What are your thoughts LiveTribers? Is South Australia’s last dine-in Pizza Hut Restaurant permanent closure the ‘end of an era’?

This is a bit sad but often these restaurants are not looked after very well these days, so not the greatest dining experience.

I remember taking my little brother to all you can eat pizza for lunch. It was the best pizza ever. The pizzas today are cheep and nasty in all large chains unfortunately. I make my own now. Pretty easy with a bread/dough maker. Shame the era is gone. If the food was as good as years ago maybe they would be booming.

Our local Pizza Hut closed down years ago, most likely the Health Department closed it down. Fortunately, I wasn't shocked and life goes on. I now buy my pizzas elsewhere and they are actually better.

Sad to hear. I'm in QLD and have one five minutes down the road. Not the same as they used to be many years ago unfortunately.

Yes it's the end of a era,so sad. I have some very fond memories of going to Pizza Hut and I'm very grateful our local Pizza Hut is still open.

Yes I remember going to Pizza Huts in the old days and having a family pizza between 2. They were large and no one had thought about deep pan or other crusts. There was flavour which you don't get now. Missing those days and dining in.

Takeaway and home delivered Pizza was always going to have the advantage in the long run. It's a convenience food, rated as one of the most unhealthy of all fast foods. Australians dining out experiences are becoming more discerning it's that simple!
