Playing God could be dangerous. Too many unknowns
Could be messing with Human nature
One hopes they have good intentions like trying to find cures for diseases and such.
They are trying to be like God. The companies that are doing this are just chasing more money and more profits.
Because they are mad scientists messing with human biology.
i think we as humans like to think that we have control over our destiny and bodies like some kind of god. in truth we don't and most of these experiments end up failing. to get better understanding of human development sure but i think we already do that well with scanning technologies etc. sounds like a false reason to me.
I am sure those funding and participating in this 'research' have a multitude of 'justifications' for what they are doing but I am sceptical and find it just plain scary!
Because those money mad, smart arse Yanks would have a profit motive behind it......mark my words!!!
It is synthetic human embryos to get around the outrage of using human eggs and sperm embryos which everyone in the world is against. Whether it will help mankind or be further to its detriment we can only wait and see. At present we have too high a population for the world to cope with, so why would be making more and more to be on this earth?
Actually, they are probably using aborted tissue which should be illegal, just like most abortions should be.
Don't get me started!! Science has a way of sugar coating everything and saying we are doing it for your good, when in reality, someone is making big $$$ out of everything. I would like to think that its there to save the human race one day, but i highly doubt it. Looking at the world today and where its going, why have human trouble makers which you cant control. Lets simply create humans when we want or when we have the need. One day when just about everything is AI, what do we do with all the billions of excess humans who are hungry & dont have jobs. They will create something to cull the population and then only create humans when the need arises, probably to create transhumans. Im sure Gates will have shares available soon!
While I'm not sure if I actually agree with what they are doing if the positive outcome could be that it could one day help advance the understanding of genetic diseases and why women experience miscarriages, and possibly other, as yet unknown medical advances, these would outweigh the current negative objections.
Step too too far. These so called synthetic embryos are in reality he first step in growing a clone of a human.
I Am disgusted at the thought of it! as far as I Am conserned theyr are not synthetic because they are using stem cells! and how long are these esmbryuos kept? and how are them being disposed? off!
