What Are Some Surprising Facts About The Sydney Opera House?

The white-tiled sails of the Sydney Opera House have become iconic not just of the nation's most populous city but, for many, are also synonymous with Australia itself. The World Heritage-listed building has been the site of tens of thousands of events in its near-50-year history, as many as 38,000 have been staged in the last two decades alone. With approximately 11 million visitors to the Sydney Opera House each year, odds are you've also ventured inside its famous sails. However, the general public has rarely been invited behind the scenes, until now. One fact is that the Opera House is cooled by seawater. What do you think LiveTribers? I miss seeing them, there was once a day that I could see them everytime I woke up. Where was I, on a Warship at Garden Island. It was also very handy to see them and the bridge at night and a great place to view all things from.

Some would say an overpriced white elephant , massaging the ego of a non Australian and arrogant overpaid architect that continues to cost taxpayers mega dollars. Be instructive to compare Adelaide's Convention Venue's acoustics and cost efficiency to Utsons expensive indulgence!?
