Wild animals should be left free in their habitats and domestic animals should be given as much freedom as possible. The only reason for caging birds, dogs and other animals is when they are a danger to themselves or to others. Nevertheless, wild animals and other species should never be captured in the first place. What do you think LiveTribers, should all animals be free?

Wild animals are definitely better in their own natural habitats, just as nature intended. However, sometimes we need to help preserve the endangered species, so that needs to be considered. As for saying pets, or domesticated animals should have complete freedom? That's insane! There are many reasons why that would not be a good idea. So rethink that again.

I think you are probably young & idealistic. You really need to take time to think about what you've said. I think your heart is in the right place, I think you are probably a very kind person .... but I don't think you've really given lateral thoughts to what you've said. I say this respectfully, not beratingly.
I'm sure poverty stricken Indian and Subcontinental village subsistence farmers who are regularly eaten by Bengal Tigers would love such bs ideas!!! Ask the parents whose kids have been mauled to death by Dingos on Fraser Island the same question. Ask the farmers around the world who regularly have maimed and mauled livestock from wild uncontrolled carnivores to deal with about such woke BS ideas! What about the 70 million estimated individual wildlife lives taken by feral animals annually in Australia ..... what a bloody stupid and loopy proposition!
You forget, that animals that are wild are meant to live in those places. Don't blame the animals for the stupid humans that encroach on their territory. Maybe you need a lesson in animal biology? What nonsense!
I wish I lived in dream land like the topic starter does, or are they just trolling? They obviously haven't though this topic through properly. Imagine a world where wild animals run free. Lucky we live in Australia. In other countries you'd open the front door and be greeted by a Bear, or a Lion or Tiger looking for breakfast. It'll be pretty difficult to milk a wild cow or catch a feral chook for its eggs or its meat.
Maybe she actually meant free in their natural environment, not just wandering around everywhere. Of course we cannot have that, as the dangers would be too great, but pets need to be controlled as they kill native animals. Maybe she was thinking of those poor big animals...locked up in our zoos?
