How Can You Purify Your Indoor Air Quality During Colder Days?

Indoor air quality falls when windows are kept shut. Houseplants can help, but it takes a lot of greenery to get the best results. Being at home during the chilly months causes us to breathe more polluted air than we would outdoors. During the colder seasons, poor indoor air quality is exacerbated by the fact that we keep our windows closed, meaning there is no fresh breeze to dilute the nasty emissions from household appliances, cleaning products and indoor garages. A recent study found that a small green wall containing a mix of indoor plants was effective at removing toxic petrol fumes such as benzene, extracting 97% of the most toxic carcinogenic compounds from the surrounding air within eight hours? What do you think LiveTribers? How can you purify your indoor air quality during colder days?

I think the heating machine may help as long as your room is adjusted in appropriate temperature.

I like to open windows and doors for at least a short time each day, depending on how cold it is. I also have some houseplants and I think they help. Easy to grow plants, like spider plants, are effective even if you don't know a lot about gardening

Definitely there is no smoking inside. Open the windows when I can and it is not too cold. I use a hep filter when I vacuum. I frequently vacuum and use mattress & pillow protectors. This is what I do to best manage my asthma and dust allergy. Use Ventolin and seretide puffers as needed. Try to limit the use of fans as they blow dust around. I try to open the windows more.

In my unit, I have some windows that are partly open 24/7 so I have some fresh air coming in summer or winter.

I do keep a couple of windows open during colder months some of the time. As it's important not to let condensation build up leading to possibly mold issues. I don't like indoor plants as it attracts certain insects.

I've got a portable device that is sups to do that....but it seems to make little different to me. I suffer from allergy issues and doesn't seem to help.

It is 100% impossible get in a dark room shine the torch 6 inches into the darkness you will see millions of micro floating dust, even if you use a purifying machine.

I try to open the windows as often as possible. If I'm outside working in the garden or on the car I open windows before I go outside and close them again when I re-enter the house. Costs me nothing.
