Can Satellites Be Used For Surveillance?

When it comes to aerial surveillance, satellites are not the only option. Drones are used, for example, to monitor migration/movement routes, on land or sea. They can be controlled from a Ground Station and via satellites. What do you think LiveTribers. Can satellites be used for surveillance?

Satellites have been used for many years for surveillance. These days the unmanned drones are able to be used for a lot of surveillance, however they can be detected so the satellites are still being used as they are always there and unable to be detected however unlike the drones they aren't as quick and easy to move around to the various locations where surveillance may be wanted pretty much straight away.

The topic starter should get out more often or learn to Google. I was told by a very trusted source many years ago that using satellite technology it was possible to tell if a 5c coin on the ground was heads or tails. Watch TV, missiles are dropped with pinpoint accuracy using satellite technology. Drones are just as accurate, if not more so.
