With the weather getting colder and colder, we can finally feel the cold effects of Autumn. Whether we like it or not, this means that Winter is fast approaching! Although this calls for warm drinks and cosy blankets, it also means the struggle to get out of bed is real! For some of us, getting up might not be a problem but for the majority staying in bed, wrapped in blankets is the tempting option! However, this can be a problem when we need to get up early for work, school and just to start the day. So, on this week’s blog, we share our top tips on how to wake up early this Winter!

Give yourself a morning incentive

Most of us won’t get up if there’s nothing we look forward too. If you love breakfast, plan an exciting breakfast the night before. If you love coffee, get the programmable coffee pot that will make you fresh coffee in the morning. Give yourself something to be excited for in the morning!

Set a timer on your heater

The most dreading moment is getting out of your warm bed and getting blasted with the cold breeze. So set a timer on your heater 30 minutes before your alarm goes off! This will eliminate all excuses to get out of bed!

Set a nice alarm

Most alarms can be loud and startling, so set a soothing alarm for when you wake up. This will make the wake-up process more natural and calming rather than feeling urgent. Go through your phones alarms and find the most soothing tones to wake up too!

Sleep earlier

It’s one thing to get out of bed cold, it’s another to get out of bed tired! So try to sort out a proper sleeping schedule and sleep earlier. This will avoid waking up overly tired and groggy. Getting enough sleep will help you wake up with more energy.

Prepare everything the night before

If all else fails, prepare everything the night before to give yourself some extra time to snooze. Get your breakfast/lunch and outfit ready before you sleep to give yourself extra time to be under the sheets.
